I am honored to introduce myself as the newly elected President of the International Pediatric Association (IPA), beginning in May 2025. It is with great enthusiasm and a profound sense of responsibility that I embrace this role, committed to advocating for the rights and dignity of children worldwide and empowering our member societies.
As pediatricians, we occupy a unique position in society, entrusted with the health and well-being of our youngest and most vulnerable citizens. My tenure will focus on amplifying the voices of children, ensuring their rights are upheld, and their dignity is respected across all platforms. I will also work to enhance the visibility of our members, enabling them to play a more significant role in policymaking and strategic initiatives.
Children are not merely future adults; they are individuals with their own needs, aspirations, and rights. I believe that every child deserves a safe environment, access to quality healthcare, and the opportunity to thrive. Throughout my career, I have championed initiatives aimed at improving child health outcomes, promoting equitable access to healthcare services, and raising awareness about the critical issues affecting children today.
Together with all members of IPA, I will work tirelessly to strengthen partnerships with other organizations, governments, and communities to create a holistic approach to child advocacy. Our efforts will focus on policy development, educational programs, and awareness campaigns that emphasize the importance of protecting children's rights and ensuring their dignity in all aspects of life.
I invite each of you to join me in this vital mission. Your support, collaboration, and commitment are essential as we strive to make meaningful changes for children around the globe. Together, we can ensure that every child has the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive in a world that values and respects their inherent dignity.
Thank you for your continued dedication to the health and well-being of children. I look forward to working alongside you in this important endeavor.
Warm regards,

Dr. Joseph Haddad
