The International Pediatric Association (IPA) is recognized for its leadership at a global level and its actions in favor of children and adolescents in all the countries that make it up. It is an honor for me to have been considered as President-Elect for the period 2025 – 2027.
A great responsibility, with no doubt, and a challenge that I am willing to fulfill, dedicating all my experience and time necessary to give continuity to the great work carried out by the colleagues who have preceded us.
Child health faces new, increasingly complex challenges in all regions of the world and we must be prepared as pediatric societies to face them.
Our children deserve quality care, but most importantly, they need someone to advocate for them, when those who make the decisions that make a difference in their quality of life are not on the right track.
As pediatricians, we are not only obliged to provide quality care to treat diseases, but we must work in a committed way with governments, non-governmental associations, entrepreneurs, and other societies to ensure that our objectives are adequately met.
Over the next 2 years we will do our best to make this happen.
We have integrated a great work team between all the regions of the world that make up IPA and we are all committed to the same ideals.
